The Texas Institute for the Acquisition of Language for Learning is a new technical assistance and support center funded by TEA as part of the Limited English Proficient Student Success Initiative (LEP-SSI). The support center will be assisting the LEP Cycle 5 grantees over the grant period of two years. The purpose of the project is to assist grantees with their programs of instruction for academic English language learners and to provide various professional development opportunities for teachers and administrators. The goals are for our students to receive quality instruction and to increase their academic achievement, as well as to prepare teachers to help meet the needs of their English learners.
